About Us

Welcome to the Society for Cyber Security (SCS) at the University of Georgia! Whether you’re taking your first steps into cybersecurity or preparing for a career in the field, SCS provides a community where you can learn, compete, and grow alongside other students who share your passion.

Our mission is to equip members with the technical skills, professional experience, and industry connections needed to succeed in cybersecurity. Through hands-on workshops, technical training, Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, guest speakers, and career-focused events, we help members build practical experience that extends beyond the classroom.

Throughout the semester, you’ll have opportunities to:
– Attend presentations from leading cybersecurity and technology companies
– Participate in technical workshops and Hack Hours
– Compete in local, regional, and national cybersecurity competitions
– Develop professional skills through resume reviews, networking, and recruiting events
– Collaborate with a community of students interested in offensive security, defensive security, digital forensics, reverse engineering, cloud security, and more
